15001Steps to Use Jumper Cables Safely

  1. Preparation: Turn off both vehicles and be sure the battery of the parked vehicle is reachable. Ensure you have smart jumper cables with you.
  2. Identify Terminals: Find positive (+) and negative (-) terminals on both batteries, making sure they are clear and free from dirt or corrosion.
  3. Connect Positive Cables: Place one end of a red wire to the positive terminal of the dead battery, and connect the other end to that of the working battery.
  4. Connect Negative Cables: Attach one end of the black cable to the negative terminal of the live battery, and the other end should be connected to any metal part exposed on the dead car that is not close 2 the battery.
